BAUBLES BY BUDD · SHAWANO COUNTY, WISCONSIN

Custom Order
Terms & Policies

Personal details deserve a second look. These terms explain what you approve, what we make, and how we handle an issue.

Baubles by Budd is veteran-owned and operated by one person in Shawano County, Wisconsin. References to “we,” “us,” or “our” mean the business.

Effective November 7, 2026 · Version 2026-11-07

Before you approve: check every name, spelling, date, number, punctuation mark, photo, crop, font, placement, size, and quantity. We reproduce the approved design. A request form is not final proof approval, and silence is never approval.

1. Requests, quotes & order acceptance

Submitting a form asks us to review your project; it does not create a paid order or reserve stock. Prices shown include the stated simple customization. Availability, the exact blank, any additional artwork charges, quantity, applicable tax, postage, payment arrangements, and a reasonable shipment timeframe are confirmed by email before you commit.

An order is accepted when you accept our written order confirmation and meet its payment requirements. We provide a final proof or written design specification for your explicit approval before production. These terms apply when you agree to them; any project-specific exceptions must be agreed in writing. You must be at least 18, or have a parent or legal guardian place the order.

2. Your wording & final proof approval

You are responsible for providing accurate, complete instructions and reviewing every part of the final proof or written design specification, including spelling, grammar, capitalization, punctuation, names, dates, addresses, numbers, image selection, photo crop, orientation, font, placement, item size, and quantity. We do not automatically correct or rewrite your text. If a detail is missing or unclear, tell us before approval.

Reply explicitly to the email identifying the final proof or specification you approve. For example: “I approve proof [reference/date] for production and have checked the text, image, layout, and quantity.” Approval applies only to that identified version. If we change it afterward, we will ask for new approval. Keep a copy of the approved version.

Production follows the approved design. If an item correctly matches customer-supplied details that you approved, a typo, wrong date, unwanted crop, or other approved content error does not qualify for a free remake or change-of-mind refund, except where law requires otherwise. A correction after production generally requires a new paid item. This does not excuse our manufacturing errors or a failure to follow the approved specification.

3. Photos, logos & other supplied content

You confirm that you own, are authorized to use, or otherwise have a lawful right to reproduce all submitted photos, artwork, logos, trademarks, text, and designs for the requested item. Being pictured in a photo does not necessarily mean you own its copyright. Obtain permission from the photographer or other rights holder when needed, and obtain any necessary permissions relating to people shown, including minors.

You give Baubles by Budd a limited permission to copy, prepare, crop, adapt, and engrave your files only as needed to quote, proof, produce, and fulfill your request, using the service providers needed for those purposes. You retain your rights. Submitting a photo does not give us permission to publish it in our portfolio or advertising; we will request separate permission.

We may ask for evidence of permission or decline unlawful, infringing, unsafe, or technically unsuitable requests. If a project cannot proceed, any payment adjustment will reflect work expressly authorized and lawfully chargeable; we do not automatically forfeit your payment. You remain responsible for your own unauthorized submissions to the extent applicable law provides.

4. Photos, previews & natural variations

Supply a clear, high-resolution original whenever possible. Low-resolution, dark, blurred, or compressed files can limit the result. Screen previews show an intended layout, not an exact simulation of engraving. Engraving contrast, detail, and visible depth vary with the material, finish, lighting, and source image; full-color photo reproduction is not included. Listed photo customization is flat 2D work, not a 3D conversion, unless separately quoted. Where offered, choose surface engraving on the outside face or inner engraving in a flat plane within crystal. The selected method, artwork scale, position, and any internal depth are confirmed on your proof. Placement diagrams show proposed artwork envelopes, not certified maximum engraving areas; actual blank geometry, thickness, and test results determine the final layout.

Small material, grain, finish, and positioning variations may occur within the agreed specification. Example images and representative sizes are identified on product listings; the actual blank and size will be confirmed before payment. Variations do not excuse defects, significant differences from the agreed description, or failure to follow the approved proof.

5. Changes & cancellations

Email change or cancellation requests as soon as possible. An email request does not guarantee production has stopped; we will confirm the status. Before production or specifically authorized nonrecoverable work begins, you may cancel for a refund of payment for unperformed work. Any separately chargeable design work or special material commitment must have been disclosed and accepted in advance, and any cancellation charge must be lawful and reflect work performed or actual nonrecoverable commitments.

Once a personalized item is engraved, it generally cannot be changed or resold. We may be unable to cancel or refund a correctly made item after production begins simply because you changed your mind or discovered an error you approved. We will explain any available options. If we cannot fulfill your order, we will refund amounts owed for unprovided goods or services as required by law. Legally required delay-cancellation and refund rights still apply.

6. Returns, defects & our mistakes

Correctly made personalized goods are not accepted for change-of-mind returns or exchanges, including customer-approved spelling or design choices, except as required by applicable law. This policy does not exclude remedies for defective, damaged, misdescribed, or incorrectly produced items.

If something is wrong, email your order details, a description, and clear photos promptly—ideally within 7 days of delivery—so we can investigate. This requested reporting window does not shorten any legal warranty or claim period. Keep the item and packaging while we review; contact us before returning anything.

If we made an error or the goods do not meet the agreed specification, we will arrange an appropriate repair, replacement, refund, or other remedy as required by law. We cover reasonable return shipping for a confirmed error or defect for which we are responsible. Your approval of a proof does not waive claims for our later production mistakes.

7. Shipping, timing & delivery problems

Provide a complete, accurate delivery address and promptly report corrections before shipment. Additional postage caused by a customer-supplied incorrect address or a requested reshipment may be charged when lawful and disclosed. USPS Flat Rate selections are estimates; safe packaging, extra boxes, and final postage are confirmed before payment.

A gift date is a request unless we expressly agree otherwise. Carrier estimates are not guaranteed arrival dates. We will give a reasonable shipment timeframe with your order confirmation and handle shipment delays, consent to extensions, cancellations, and refunds as required by applicable law. We do not treat a carrier handoff as a blanket release of responsibility.

For lost, delayed, or transit-damaged packages, contact us promptly. Keep the packaging and photos so we can help investigate and pursue any carrier claim. A carrier claim does not replace any remedy we owe you under applicable law.

8. Care, intended use & customer-owned items

Crystal and glass can break and may have sharp edges if damaged. Handle carefully, keep small parts away from young children, and stop using a damaged item. Keepsakes and ornaments are decorative articles, not toys. Do not use them for food contact, medical, protective, safety-critical, or load-bearing purposes unless the specific item is expressly rated for that use.

Our current product collection uses materials selected for personalization. Custom requests are reviewed for availability and compatibility with our laser before we accept an order. We are not accepting customer-owned items at this time; please do not send us an item to engrave.

9. Limits of liability & rights we do not exclude

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law: for ordinary contract claims relating to an affected order, Baubles by Budd’s aggregate monetary liability is limited to the amount you paid for the affected item or service, including its associated shipping charges. We exclude consequential or indirect economic loss, such as lost business profits or the cost of an unrelated event, only to the extent such an exclusion is lawful and enforceable.

These limits do not apply to personal injury, fraud, intentional misconduct, reckless or grossly negligent conduct, or any liability, warranty, refund, or statutory remedy that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded. They do not eliminate a remedy where the law requires otherwise or where a limited remedy fails its essential purpose. We do not disclaim all implied warranties or require you to waive consumer protection rights.

Wisconsin law governs to the extent permitted by applicable law, without taking away mandatory protections available to you where you live. Nothing here requires arbitration, waives access to a court or government agency, or waives a lawful payment dispute. If a provision is unenforceable, it applies only to the extent permitted, and the remaining terms continue where legally appropriate.

10. Questions, records & updates

Contact baublesbybudd@gmail.com about wording, proofs, permissions, changes, or an order problem. Requests and attachments are stored privately on our Hostinger hosting account, with email notifications sent to us for review. Do not send payment card information or sensitive documents. Keep your confirmation, proof, and approval emails as your order record.

The version you accepted, together with your agreed order details, applies to that order. Later website updates do not retroactively change an accepted order. We will ask you to accept any material change to your order terms.
